Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority And Maximus Air Collaborate To Enhance Aerial Capabilities For Rescue Operations

The Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Authority has partnered with Maximus Air to enhance aerial transport for search and rescue missions. This collaboration aims to improve the UAE's emergency response capabilities, particularly during disasters. The agreement was finalised at the Dubai Airshow 2025, which concluded recently.

Key figures from aviation and relief sectors attended the signing ceremony. Brigadier Muzafar Mohammed Al Ameri, representing the authority, and Samer Ramadan, CEO of Maximus Air, signed the agreement. Nader Al Hammadi and Mahmoud Al Hay Al Hameli from Abu Dhabi Aviation Group were also present.

Enhancing Aerial Capabilities for Rescue Operations

This partnership is a strategic move to boost cooperation with private entities like Maximus Air. The authority believes that leveraging the company's aviation expertise will enhance flexibility and speed in crisis situations. This will significantly improve the UAE Search and Rescue Team's efficiency in humanitarian missions.

Maximus Air will provide specialised air transport services under this agreement. Their role includes transporting personnel, equipment, and vehicles to disaster zones. They will also handle medical evacuations and deliver humanitarian aid using their extensive operational resources.

The agreement is part of ongoing efforts to develop a robust emergency response system in the UAE. It aims to equip the UAE Search and Rescue Team with necessary aerial capabilities for both international and field missions. These include logistical support for rapid emergency responses.

Maximus Air's fleet can carry up to 120 tonnes of cargo, supported by a 24/7 operational centre. This capacity ensures swift responses to various humanitarian needs globally, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to international relief efforts.

The authority highlighted that this partnership marks a significant step in expanding strategic collaboration with private sector players like Maximus Air. By utilising their specialised operational capabilities, it aims to strengthen rapid response during crises effectively.
