Abrahamic Family House Honours Quran Competition Winners In Abu Dhabi
The Abrahamic Family House in Abu Dhabi recently became the focal point of cultural and religious celebration, hosting the inaugural Ahmed El-Tayeb Mosque Quran Competition awards ceremony. This event, a collaboration with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (AWQAF), spotlighted thirty-eight male and female contestants from various nationalities. These participants were recognized for their achievements in memorizing sections of the Holy Quran, ranging from one to the entire text.
The ceremony saw the presence of notable figures including Mohammed Saeed Al Neyadi, Director General of AWQAF, Judge Mohammed Abdul Salam, Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Elders, and Talib Mohammed Al Shehhi, Executive Director of Islamic Affairs and Endowments. The winners, alongside their families, gathered to celebrate their accomplishments in an event that underscored the importance of religious education and understanding.
Abdulla Al Shehhi, Acting Operations Executive Director of Abrahamic Family House, emphasized the competition's role in motivating the youth to engage deeply with the Holy Quran. He highlighted how such initiatives are pivotal in fostering a comprehensive understanding of its teachings.
